My attention was drawn to Dr. Katherine Albrecht’s
September 8, 2007
press release -
MICROCHIP IMPLANTS CAUSE FAST-GROWING,
MALIGNANT TUMORS IN LAB ANIMALS - because I love dogs and have
been a life-long dog owner. Dr. Albrecht’s press release revealed that microchip
implants have induced cancer in laboratory animals as well as reported deaths in
dogs. And I fought not to have a microchip implant in my most recent rescued dog
by the shelter. But now, as one who has been deeply involved with Alzheimer’s
and Dementia patients, my concerns about this have spread to them.
Why
am I concerned?
Dr.
Albrecht, Founder and Director or CASPIAN Consumer Privacy (kma@spychips.com),
has been a long-time VeriChip™ opponent.
She reports on a series of research articles spanning more than a decade that
found mice and rats injected with glass-encapsulated FRID transponders developed
malignant, fast-growing, lethal cancers in up to 1 - 10% of the cases. The
tumors originated in the tissue surrounding the microchips and often grew to
completely surround the devices, the researchers said.
And
these microchips are being used with HUMANS?
Dr.
Albrecht’s release says that a four-month AP investigation turned up additional
documents - several published before VeriChip™’s parent company,
Applied Digital Solutions, sought FDA approval to market the implant for humans.
ADS later in 2004 received FDA approval under the watch of Tommy Thompson, HHS
Secretary, who later joined the company’s board. The company disclaims knowledge
of the studies, and failed to bring this research to the attention of the FDA
during the approval process.
Since gaining FDA approval, VeriChip(tm) has aggressively targeted diabetic and
dementia patients, announcing in September that it had chipped 90 Alzheimer’s
patients and their caregivers in
Florida.
Employees in the Mexican Attorney General’s Office, workers in a
U.S.
security firm, and club-goers in
Europe have also been implanted.
Albrecht urges them to get the devices removed as soon as possible, saying:
“These new revelations change everything.
Why would anyone take the risk of having a cancer chip in their arm?”

As for me, I would not take such cancer risks with my mother.
Not even during her dementia wandering phase. The microchip dangers aren’t worth
it. There are baby locks, patient alarms, and other protective measures you can
take. And some such products are carried by companies whose caregiver and
patient solutions are in our
Home Health Care
Resources section. There are also some excellent patient alarms at the
company featured in this banner (as well as wheelchairs, hospital beds, and so
much more). Just click the banner:

Thanks for the info
